Taking a screenshot can be a handy way to capture and share what's on your screen. Here's how you can do it on different devices:
Windows
Capture the Entire Screen:
- Press the Windows key + 'Print Screen' button (may be abbreviated as 'PrtScn' or similar).
- The screenshot will be saved in your Pictures folder.
MacOS
Capture the Entire Screen:
- Press Shift + Command + 3.
- The screenshot will automatically save to your desktop.
Capture a Portion of the Screen:
- Press Shift + Command + 4. The cursor will change to a crosshair.
- Click and drag to select the area you want to capture.
- Release the mouse or trackpad button to take the screenshot.
- The screenshot of the selected area will be saved on your desktop.
iOS
On Devices with Face ID:
- Simultaneously press and then release the side button and volume up button.
On Devices with a Home Button:
- Simultaneously press and then release the Home button and the side button or Sleep/Wake button (depending on your model).
Screenshots will be available in your device's photo gallery.
Android
- Open the content you wish to screenshot.
- Locate the power and volume buttons.
- Press both the power button and the "volume down" button simultaneously.
Like on other platforms, the screenshot will be saved in your device's photo gallery.
