IMAP/POP3 Login Error: Incorrect Username or Password

If you see this error when trying to add your IMAP/POP3 account to BlueMail, it means the username or password is incorrect or there are security restrictions preventing the login. Here’s how to fix it:

1. Double-Check Your Email and Password

  • Make sure you’re entering your full email address as the username.
  • Try typing the password manually instead of using auto-fill.
  • If you recently changed your password, log in via webmail to confirm it’s correct.

2. Check If Your Email Provider Requires an App Password

Some providers block third-party apps unless you use an app-specific password instead of your regular password. Check your email provider’s security settings for this option.

3. Make Sure IMAP/POP3 Access Is Enabled

Some email services require you to enable IMAP or POP3 access in webmail settings before connecting to BlueMail.
