Can't Add My Account - Not Authorized

Error: NOT_AUTHORIZED (‘not-authorized’)

If you see this error when trying to add your IMAP/POP3 account to BlueMail, it means the email provider is blocking the login attempt. Here’s what to check:

1. Verify Your Login Credentials

  • Ensure you’re entering the correct email address and password.
  • Try logging in via webmail to confirm your credentials work.

2. Check If Your Provider Requires an App Password

Some providers block third-party apps unless you use an app-specific password. Check your provider’s security settings for this option.

3. Review Your Email Provider’s Security Settings

  • Some services block sign-ins from new devices or locations. Check if there’s a security alert in your email account.
  • If your provider has two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled, you may need to create an app password to use with BlueMail.
