Compliance with Microsoft's OAuth 2.0 Changes

BlueMail uses advanced authentication by default and is OAuth 2.0 compliant. Microsoft is making changes to the sign-in process for their accounts, which may affect how certain apps connect to Outlook services. However, BlueMail fully adheres to industry standards and Microsoft's new requirements, so you can continue using it without disruption.

We recommend keeping your app updated to ensure you have the latest features and security improvements.

Making Your Microsoft Account (Hotmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365) OAuth 2.0 Compliant

Updating your Microsoft account password is simple, especially with the use of OAuth for enhanced security. Here are the steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Select your Outlook account.
  4. Choose Update Password.

Finalizing the Update

After selecting Update Password, you'll be prompted to sign into your Outlook account via Outlook's secure authentication page. Enter your new credentials to complete the update.

To update the password in the BlueMail app, go to More... | Accounts | Select your Outlook account | Update Password.

Note: Since BlueMail uses OAuth for authentication, this ensures that your account remains securely linked, protecting your credentials and ensuring uninterrupted access to your account.
