How Do I Update My Gmail Account Password Using OAuth?

Occasionally, you may need to update your Gmail account credentials within the BlueMail app. This could be due to a recent password change on your Gmail account or a re-authentication prompt within the app.

Updating Gmail Credentials

  1. Look for an "update password" prompt at the top of the Mail List. If it's there, click "Update".
  2. Otherwise, access Settings | Account Settings.
  3. Choose your Gmail account.
  4. Click Edit Account | Update Password.

Finalizing the Update

After initiating the update, a Gmail pop-up will prompt you to sign into your account. Enter your new credentials to complete the update process, and your account in BlueMail will be ready for use once again.

To change the password on your Gmail account in the BlueMail app, tap More (⋮) | Accounts | Select your Gmail account | Update Password.

Note: Given that Gmail uses OAuth for authentication, this process ensures your account remains secure by directly linking to Gmail's authentication system.
